Respect for the electoral cycle remains the true expression of democracy, according to MP Matadiwamba

Kinshasa, July 10th, 2021 (CPA).- Respect for the electoral cycle remains the true expression of democracy, declared Thursday the national president of the DRC and elected national deputy of Kenge, Matadiwamba Kamba Mutu, in reaction to the news. Law on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) promulgated on July 3rd by the President of the Republic, Antoine Félix Tshisekedi Tshilombo.

According to the Lawyer Matadiwamba, there are no perfect legal texts. These texts are made by men and very often it is men who modify them from time to time and sometimes the application turns out to be insufficient, incomplete. He is of the opinion and convinced that the text promulgated by the Head of State has improved the precedent.

“This text came through parliament through the Honorable Luntundula who had tabled the proposed law on the INEC. After a few amendments made by the deputies after plenary debates in the National Assembly and after a second reading in the Senate, the Constitutional Court was requested and declared the voted text in conformity with the Constitution. And finally the President of the DRC promulgated it « , he explained, before indicating that he is against the arguments of all those who say that this text is tailor-made to encourage fraud.

« In our country, we do not have the problem of texts but rather, a problem of people who must enforce the texts, » he added.

Satisfied with having voted for this text, the elected representative of the electoral district of Kenge welcomed the commitment of the President of the Republic who only respected the constitutional procedure.

Regarding the bill tabled in the National Assembly on «  Congolity  », the elected representative of Kenge did mention that what the DRC needs is a President of the Republic, that he have a Congolese father and mother, there it is a madman. ACP/
