Kinshasa, April 19th, 2021 (CPA).– The honorary MP of the electoral district of Kamonia in the province of Kasai, Prof. Omar Kalonji Tshisenge, praised the representativeness of women, young people and civil society in the government led by the Prime Minister, Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde, in a political declaration, a copy of which reached the ACP on Saturday.
For Prof. Omar Kalonji, taking this representativeness into account in the Sama Lukonde government is a response to the wishes expressed by the Congolese during the consultations initiated by the President of the Republic, Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo.
Through these consultations, the Head of State, Félix Tshisekedi, had received, in November 2020, the most representative political and social leaders to collect their opinions, in order to create a sacred Union of the Nation around the objectives aforementioned.
The honorary national deputy Omar Kalonji Tshisenge expressed the wish to see the Sama Lukonde government carry out social actions in order to open up the province of Kasai and facilitate its socio-economic development.
He called for the revival, within the framework of the Southern African Development Community (SADC), of the construction works of the international road connecting Kasai province to Angola via the border of Kalondjaji to facilitate the population, access to the international port of Lobito and enjoy international commercial transactions.
Omar Kalonji Tshisenge also pleaded for the organization of road transport, by TRANSCO, on the Kinshasa-Tshikapa, Tshikapa-Kananga and Kananga-Mbuji-Mayi axis, in order to facilitate access to the former province of Katanga .
Need to build and rehabilitate referral hospitals
Honorary MP Kalonji Tshisenge also stressed the need to build and rehabilitate referral hospitals in the territories of Dekese, Lwebo, Mweka and Tshikapa in order to facilitate access to primary health care for the population.
He called on the government to complete the construction of the bridge over Kasai River in Tshikapa city, to rehabilitate the national airport in Tshikapa city to allow jumbo jets to operate transit flights.
In addition, he urged the government to make Mweka an agro-economic pool and to rehabilitate the brewing companies of Kananga, Mbuji-Mayi and Kamina. ACP / Ngayama
