The grievances of provincial elected submitted to Prime Minister Sama Lukonde

Kinshasa, September 10th, 2021 (CPA).– Prime Minister Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde held a working session on Wednesday at the government building, with some members of the collective of provincial deputies, who came to submit to him the grievances related to the functioning of the Provincial Assemblies of DRC made up of 780 provincial elected.

According to the report of the communication cell reached on Thursday at CPA, this group had come to submit to the head of government, the multiple problems that provincial elected officials face on a daily basis.

Speaking to the press at the end of this interview, provincial elected Blanchard Takatela, elected from Bulungu and president of the collective, said that all the problems encountered by elected provincial officials were combed with the Prime Minister who was receptive to all these grievances and promised appropriate solutions.

These include, he said, the problems of arrears of emoluments, installation, the inaugural session and that of their inclusion in the national budget.

In a short time, a team will get to work together with the Budget Ministry to see how things need to evolve very quickly so that the dignity and honor of provincial elected can be regained even before we can return to our Provincial Assemblies.”, he concluded.
