The Head of State Félix Tshisekedi on a mission of state in Paris, France

Kinshasa, April 26th, 2021 (CPA).- Congolese Head of State Félix Antoine Tshisekedi flew to Paris, France on Sunday for a state mission. No details were obtained on the duration and purpose of President Tshisekedi’s official mission to the French capital. It should be recalled that President Félix Tshisekedi was in France in November 2019 where he took part in the Paris Peace Forum. In his speech, the Head of State indicated that his priority « is to make the DRC a modern state, by fighting against poverty, corruption and wars ». The relationship between the DRC and France is based on an important program of cooperation that had been concluded between President Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, said the Africa Director at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Christophe Bigot, at the end of the exchanges on November 19 in Kinshasa, with the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Marie Tumba Nzeza. The French statesman suggested that this cooperation program of nearly 300 million euros over five years concerns support for the institutional reforms implemented in the DRC.
