The new Leopards coach presented to the Prime Minister, Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde

Kinshasa, May 29th, 2021 (CPA).- The new Leopards coach, Hector Cuper, was introduced to Prime Minister Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde Kyenge on Friday after a hearing at the Prime Minister’s office. The Minister in charge of Sports and Leisure, Serge Konde, who was accompanied by a delegation from the Congolese Federation of Association Football (FECOFA) for the occasion, indicated, at the end of the discussions, that it was about to present the brand new coach of the DRC national team, who has just set foot on Congolese soil, 48 hours ago for the signing of his contract, after having obtained his engagement in this capacity.Hector Cuper informed the minister, was hired as coach of the Leopards after a call for applications for this position, explaining that initially, there were more than 60 files received and that after a careful sorting, the Congolese Federation of association football (FECOFA) has set its sights on that of Hector Cuper for his record. Minister Konde said he trusted the choice of FECOFA as a technical body in the field of football which worked with the experts to arrive at this choice which could lead our national team to regain its image of yesteryear given that today Today, the DRC needs a great national team worthy of its name.
