UNHCR representative in DRC gets vaccinated against Covid-19

Kinshasa, September 22rd 2021 (ACP) .- The representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), Liz Ahua Kpam and members of her family were vaccinated on Wednesday at the National Institute for Biomedical Research ( INRB) in the town of Gombe, in order to protect against Covid-19.

Liz Ahua Kpam, who received this vaccine, encouraged the refugees to also be vaccinated, before seeking the involvement of the competent authorities and the INRB, in order to make the necessary arrangements to deliver the vaccines to the sites or camps where they are housed across the Republic, in particular in Nord-Ubangi and Sud-Ubangi.

“I returned on Tuesday from the town of Gbadolite in Nord-Ubangi where I met the Central African refugees. Indeed, there are those who were asking us questions: When are we going to bring the vaccine to the field « , suggested the UNHCR representative in the DRC. ACP /
