US Ambassador Mike Hammer visits Inga Dam

Matadi, July 24th, 2021 (CPA) .- US Ambassador to the DRC Mike Hammer visited Thursday, together with the Governor of Kongo Central Province, Atou Matubuana Nkuluki, the compartments of the Inga dam in Seke territory- Banza, learned the CPA from the communication services of the governorate of that province.

The visit of the American diplomat began with the control room of the Inga1 and Inga 2 power plants to the Inga converter station (SCI) where it ended under the supervision of the director of the National Electricity Company. (SNEL) / Inga, Henri Matap who provided explanations on the workings of the company to the host of the province.

« I am satisfied to fully understand the current situation of this large dam, a development engine and the various projects in the making to make it more viable », indicated the American ambassador Mike Hammer at the end of the visit before indicating that Inga was an ideal sector for investment.

Long before, the entire delegation was invited to follow a documentary on the potential of the Inga hydroelectric dam projected in the Belvédère room, in the dam installations.

The stay of the American diplomat in the DRC Mike Hammer in Kongo central was part of the investment opportunities in the commercial and economic sector of the province, fallout from the last mission of Governor Atou Matubuana Nkuluki carried out in the United States to attract investments in his province.
