Honoré Mulangu, a social and imaginative man according to the ISTI / IFASIC Alumni Association

Kinshasa, June 19th, 2021 (CPA).- The honorary president of the Association of former students of ISTI / IFASIC (AMIS), Honoré Mulangu Pongola Mbuji was a social man, full of imagination and passionate in the supervision of youth, according to the testimonies of the members of this structure shared Thursday at the suffrage mass organized in his memory at “Africana Palace”, in the commune of Lingwala.

Taking the floor, Prof. Jean Chrétien Ekambo spoke of the 48 years of friendship he had lived with the deceased and whom he affectionately called « Ya Mul », while they were still students, of the very first class of ISTI.

« Honoré Mulangu » was a man of imagination, a good friend, who always listened to others, « he said, that the two were no longer friends, but brothers.

In his turn, Professor Emeritus Paul Malembe Tamandiak shared with the audience some moments lived together with the illustrious deceased, whom he called “My Little One”, affirming that the latter associated him with all his activities.

He was, according to him, a man of great discretion and with an irreproachable sense of honor, loyal and open to student youth.

Chantal Kanyimbo, member of the Congolese Audiovisual Council (CSAC), said that Honoré Mulangu had greatly encouraged her to apply to the Congolese Higher Audiovisual Council (CSAC). Because according to him, it was preferable that the Istians manage this regulatory body, she said.

Before, the officiant of Mass, had, in his homily, shared a message of comfort to the grieving family, stressing that only Jesus Christ is the true comforter in times of pain.

In addition to the stages of the homily and testimonies, the assistance composed of the biological family, Istians, media professionals and businessmen was also attended at the opening of the book of condolences, to further mark this farewell ceremony.

The burial ceremony, originally scheduled for Saturday, was postponed to a later date according to the family of the deceased.

Honoré Mulangu Pongola passed away on June 10, 2021, at the age of 72 after a period of illness. ACP/
