Goma, July 17th, 2021 (CPA).- The deputy mayor of Goma, the senior chief commissioner, Faustin Kapend Kamand chaired on Wednesday in the Keshero district in Goma, an urban security meeting, bringing together the 18 district heads, the cell heads and avenues, on growing insecurity and the fight against the spread of COVID-19.
After a brief presentation by Chief Abdu Bikulu of the problems plaguing his Keshero neighborhood, in particular the nightly insecurity of armed men in the homes of peaceful people, the presence of the naval force camp at the Kituku market, and the issue of the space of games for young people, the deputy mayor made the mayors and city police commanders responsible, as well as other related services, for local operations.
Faustin Kapend asked the grassroots executives to sensitize the population of their respective entities to strict compliance with barrier measures and the curfew established by the provincial authority in the context of the fight against COVID-19 and insecurity.
In this vein, Mr. Alexis Ndalihoranye, head of the urban division, read to grassroots officials the list of fines to be imposed on those who do not want to comply with these measures.
