Bunia, July 17th, 2021 (CPA).- The elements of the armed forces escorted a hundred vehicles on the Komanda-Luna axis located at the level of the RN4 considered as a « red zone » due to incursions by ADF terrorists, the spokesperson for the FARDC operational sector in Ituri, Lieutenant Jules Ngongo, announced to the press on Thursday.
« The army has accompanied the users of the RN4 who were once very afraid to use this route, » said the spokesperson for the Ituri operational sector.
Lieutenant Jules Ngongo reassured that during this time, the armed forces continue to pursue the enemy in order to pacify the area to destroy all kinds of ambushes that have been set by these outlaws on this road of national interest.
He urged the population who frequent this route to be vigilant while waiting for the end of the operations to track down these renegades who are wandering.
The initiative taken by the army is welcomed by the drivers who regularly use this section of road, especially since the climate of insecurity that reigned there forced them to take this road. ACP/
