North Kivu: Barricade Thursday on the Goma-Sake road by ex-rebels

Goma, July 3rd, 2021 (CPA) .- The ex-rebels who surrendered to the FARDC and stationed in Mubambiro barricaded Thursday with large stones, the road connecting Goma to Sake in the territory of Masisi, to express their discontent on their living conditions.

According to Kamuronza groupement leader Mwami Primo Bahuma Bitsibuwa Bulenda, protesters admit receiving the ration but complain of lack of medical care and many other social benefits.

This lack of assistance prompted some ex-rebels to return to the bush, said the groupement leader.

These ex-rebels come from different armed groups NDC Rénové, APSLS, and others who scour the population in Masisi territory. ACP/NIG
