Skin disease attacks residents of Katanga village

Katanga / Baraka, June 5th, 2021(CPA).– A new skin disease has threatened children and women in Katanga commune in Baraka city for several months? announced Mr. Ernest Matabaro, nurse at the Katanga State Center. This is the non-melting ringworm which causes more or less thick scales or crusts and alopecia linked to the itching, explained this nurse, before specifying that more than 40 women and children are contaminated by this disease in every avenue of Katanga, Malinde, Mulongwe and Sebele villages. Mr. Ernest Matabaro asked the entire population of the Fizi health zone to observe hygiene rules in order to protect themselves against this disease which is very contagious. « This is the first time that this disease has attacked the population of this part of Fizi territory on such a scale, » admitted the nurse at the Katanga state health center.
