Kindu, July 3rd, 2021 (CPA).– The provincial directorate of the DGDA (Directorate General of Customs and Excise) in Maniema has announced the organization soon in Kindu of a customs forum focused on the identification of problems and the search for solutions problems blocking the maximization of customs revenue in Maniema Province, during a meeting held Thursday for officials of the public and private sectors of the province.
On this occasion, Jodel Diongo Belinga, provincial director of the DGDA / Maniema called on the participants to reflect on and take up major challenges for the proper functioning of the services of the DGDA in this province and to think of the suggestions that could constitute proposals for solutions that will be debated during this forum expected in the near future before asking participants to invest each individually in maximizing customs revenue for the benefit of the public treasury.
The organization of this preparatory meeting for this forum given the objective of seeking ways and means to raise the level of customs production and to facilitate economic operators on the taxation occurring 14 days after customs clearance of goods. ACP/NIG
