Official launch of the vaccination against the Coronavirus on Monday, April 19th, 2021 in DRC

Kinshasa, April 19^th, 2021 (CPA).- The Democratic Republic of Congo will officially launch the vaccination against Coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) on Monday April 19^th, 2021 in Kinshasa.

These will be the first doses of AstraZeneca vaccine, which the country received on March 2^nd, 2021 thanks to COVAX mechanism. This ceremony will take place in the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Kinshasa (UNIKIN), followed by the symbolic vaccination of priority groups at the University Clinics of Kinshasa (CUK).

DRC had received for a first delivery 1,700,000 doses of this vaccine, it is indicated.
