Jean Nsaka launches the operation to evacuate abandoned vehicles from public spaces in Lemba

Kinshasa, May 23th, 2021 (CPA).– The mayor of the commune of Lemba, Jean Nsaka, proceeded on Saturday to launch the operation to evacuate abandoned vehicles along the public spaces of this municipality, during a tour from the Garage stop to the super Lemba roundabout. The municipal authority has indicated that most of the vehicles abandoned along public roads not only contribute to insalubrity, but also serve as shelters or hiding places for uncivilists, or even places of prostitution. “Today we have started this operation so that the reluctant population becomes aware of freeing public spaces. We are committed and determined to support the governor of the city of Kinshasa, Gentiny Ngobila Mbaka, in his Kinshasa Bopeto vision in order to make the municipalities of the capital attractive. The city authority and its administration had recently resolved to sensitize car owners, warning them of a possible forced evacuation operation. In addition, Jean Nsaka, during this tour, invited each household to demonstrate public hygiene through the regular sanitation of their environment to support the provincial executive in this collective fight aimed at combating insalubrity in Kinshasa.
