Kinshasa, March 30th, 2021 (CPA) – The general commissioner in charge of the environment, social affairs, gender, family and vulnerable people of Kinshasa, Laetitia Bena Kabamba, sensitized the operators of supermarkets working in Kinshasa city to the ban on packaging in non-biodegradable plastic bags, during a visit she made to the various supermarkets in the area.
This awareness was followed by the popularization of the circular notes relating to the ban on packaging in non-biodegradable plastic bags and to the exclusive use of colored biodegradable garbage bags stamped with the logo of the city signed respectively by the governor of Kinshasa city and the General Commissioner in charge of the Environment.
Moved by the approach taken by the General Commissioner in charge of the Environment, the operators of Kinshasa supermarkets expressed the wish to support Kinshasa city in the logic of implementing the measures taken by the city authorities. ACP /
