Blessing slap Renaissance of Congo (1-0) at the Martyrs stadium at LINAFOOT

Kinshasa, March 18th, 2021 (CPA) – Blessing FC of Kolwezi slapped FC Renaissance of Congo de Kinshasa on the score of 1-0, on Wednesday at the Martyrs of Pentecost stadium in the Congolese capital, on behalf of the 21st day of the 26th National Football league championship (LINAFOOT).

Kinshasa “Oranges” made a game of regret and remorse for coach Papy Kimoto Okitankoy, who said at the pre-match press conference that he was very sure of his players. Alas! Football has its realities on the ground, which have escaped the successor of Camille Bolombo.

The only goal of Tshibangu Kanyinda (72nd) was enough for Papy Kimoto to continue to wipe his tears, after the second defeat in a row after that conceded against Sanga Balende (1-2), on March 8th at Kashala Bonzola stadium, in Mbuji-Mayi. Kolwezi’s team did nothing but do it again, especially since in the first leg they won against their Kinshasa counterpart by 2-0 on November 4th, 2020 at Dominique Diur stadium. Things don’t seem to be working out for the  » Bana Fibo  » team, who are slowly heading towards the relegation zone. Renaissance of Congo is currently in 8th place with 25 points in 20 matches played, while Blessing is in 7th position with 25 points in as many outings. Kinshasa will be opposed to TP Mazembe on March 26th at TP Mazembe stadium in Kamalondo, in Lubumbashi.

Sera Ngondo de Blessing « Man of the match »

Blessing FC goalkeeper Sera Ngondo was named « Man of the match » for putting out a big fight against Renaissance strikers from Congo, who failed to take him on the wrong foot. ACP/Kayu
