LINAFOOT: Bazano Group, a double face in two successive seasons

Kinshasa, July 10th, 2021 (CPA).- JS Groupe Bazano de Lubumbashi presented a contrasting double face in two successive sports seasons in the National Football League (LINAFOOT) championship.

During the 25th national championship of the DR Congo, under the leadership of coach Daouda Lopembe, fresh from FC Renaissance du Congo from Kinshasa, Bazano presented a shining and seductive face to the point of arousing the admiration of Congolese athletes. During this sporting season, which experienced a sudden stop on March 16, 2020 by decision of the Congolese Football Association (FECOFA) following the coronavirus pandemic, Bazano, who was late for matches, s’ is ranked 4th, narrowly missing being the 2nd representative of the DR Congo at the Confederation Cup for the benefit of DC Motema Pembe of Kinshasa.

On the other hand, for the 2020-2021 sports season, Groupe Bazano presented a less radiant face than some would qualify as gloomy compared to its brilliance of the previous year. During the 26th edition of the national championship, apart from the 5 draws conceded in front of Simba de Kolwezi (0-0), Blessing de Kolwezi (0-0), Jeunesse Sportive de Kinshasa (1-1), Vita Club de Kinshasa (0- 0), Sanga Balende from Mbuji-Mayi (0-0) and Dauphin Noir from Goma (2-2), AS Groupe Bazano had a crush on Saint Eloi Lupopo from Lubumbashi (0-1), Renaissance du Congo de Kinshasa (0-1), Racing Club de Kinshasa (1-2), Motema Pembe de Kinshasa (0-1), Lubumbashi Sport of the capital of Haut-Katanga (1-2), Maniema Union de Kindu (0- 2), Mazembe from Lubumbashi (0-2) and Rangers from Kinshasa (0-2).

In the return leg, Bazano got bogged down again by conceding other draws against Simba (0-0), Lupopo (0-0), RCK (1-1), Dauphin Noir (1-1) and Don Bosco from Lubumbashi (1-1).

This descent into hell of the blue and white team is also explained by the waltz of the coaches, who followed one another before Raoul Mutufwila Ndombasi came to stabilize the situation by victories to be counted on the fingertips but beneficial for the group, to the example of those gleaned before Renaissance du Congo (4-2), JSK (2-0), Sanga Balende (1-0) and Motema Pembe (1-0).
