Kinshasa, June 26th, 2025 (CPA) . – The match between Mazembe from Lubumbashi (south-east of the Democratic Republic of Congo) and Les Aigles du Congo from Kinshasa (the country’s capital) is scheduled for Friday at the Mazembe stadium in Kamalondo, on the 16th day of the National Football League (Linafoot) championship play-offs, according to the competition schedule. According to statistics from the 16th and final day of the 30th edition of this national competition, FC Les Aigles du Congo is ranked first in the standings with 34 points in 15 games. The Samouraïs de Kinshasa are well on their way to winning the title after beating Mazembe 3-1 at the Martyrs Stadium in the first leg and Don Bosco 1-0 in the second leg.
As for Mazembe, with 29 points after 15 matches played, they must secure three points against The Aigles du Congo in order to qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup. For this match, a large delegation of Aigles du Congo supporters has been in Lubumbashi since Monday to cheer their team on to victory.

Meanwhile, at the Martyrs Stadium in Kinshasa, the country’s capital, AS Maniema Union from Kindu, in the center east of the country, will host FC Saint Eloi Lupopo from Lubumbashi, in the south-east of the country, on Friday, in a match counting towards the same day. It will be a final-like duel between the two teams that are best positioned for a place in the CAF interclub competition. AS Maniema Union (3rd, 31 points, 15 games played) is looking for a victory to secure its ticket to the African campaign.
