Kinshasa, May 3rd, 2021 (CPA).– The referee Pierre Kibingo Numbi of Maniema Football League (LIFMAN) is again suspended for the 4th time for a period of two years, for having expressly refused to give a penalty to SM Sanga Balende from Mbuji-Mayi during his confrontation with TP Mazembe from Lubumbashi, last Wednesday April 28th at Kashala Bonzola stadium, in Mbuji-Mayi, in the first leg match of the 11th day of the 26th championship of the National Football League (LINAFOOT).
Whenever he was suspended, Pierre Kibingo never served his sentence. His first suspension dates back to 2014. On this occasion, he received a heavy suspension of 36 months for proven corruption during the match OC Bukavu Dawa-Sanga Balende (0-1). Kibingo was only two months before he was pardoned by the Congolese Football Association (FECOFA).
In 2015, Kibingo Numbi was charged with another corruption case during TP Mazembe-as V.Club match in Lubumbashi and was never questioned. At the end of regular time, V.Club was leading by 1-0 when, when it came time to play the extra minutes, Pierre Kibingo let the match play until the 14th minute of added time until Mazembe restored the score balance (1-1).
On July 10th, 2017, Pierre Kibingo inflicted four red cards on the players of AC Rangers in Kinshasa during his match against AS Vutuka from Kikwit, during the 53rd Congo Cup played in Kindu, Maniema, his province of origin, with the aim, it seems, to facilitate the task of AS Maniema Union of Kindu in the final. FECOFA then suspended him for 12 months. After 2 months, he had been pardoned.
In 2018, Kibingo Numbi, whom some consider to be FECOFA suicide bomber, will again be suspended for 3 months for punching a supporter of OC Bukavu Dawa on the occasion of the 54th Cup of Congo. Two weeks of suspension will have been enough to be pardoned by the Federation whose executive committee is headed by Constant Omari Selemani nicknamed « the modern man ».
Pierre Kibingo Numbi, who has become a renowned repeat offender, will refuse without valid reason to award a penalty to Sanga Balende on Wednesday April 28th against Mazembe, who will end up winning by 0-1. The match’s center referee, Pierre Kibingo, is once again suspended for 24 months, this time for the fourth time.
According to observers, in view of all these facts and sanctions, Pierre Kibingo Numbi deserves a lifetime delisting in order to spare Congolese football from the worst. ACP /
