Kinshasa, August 31st, 2025 (CPA).- A session of the Abandoned Ponds and Hatcheries Restoration Project has been organised on Saturday in Kinshasa, marking a decisive step in the fight for food sovereignty, CPA has learned from a press release.  « During this session of the Pond and Hatchery Restoration Project, participants have been immersed in an in-depth study of chemical reactions in water, which are essential to ensuring successful fish farming, » it is read.  The same source has indicated that an analysis of the different water sources to stabilise and optimise the parameters essential to the activity has been carried out, while emphasising the importance of science in the revitalisation of fish farming infrastructure.  « The next session, which promises to be just as revolutionary, will focus on food alternatives. We will explore the use of black soldier flies, an audacious approach to sustainable and autonomous production, » adds the document signed by Ir Joel Diaka, trainer.  The project aims to be inclusive and accessible to all: ‘No barriers, no fees, no exclusion criteria,’ has said one of the participants quoted in the press release, emphasising the strong message conveyed by this initiative.
