Chan 2024: Leopards A’ coach attributes the defeat to the players’ lack of competition.

Kinshasa, August 3rd, 2025 (CPA).- The coach of the Leopards A’ of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Otis Ngoma Kondi, attributed the 0-1 defeat against Kenya to a lack of rhythm and competition among his players, CPAhas learned on Sunday from the CAF website. « We don’t have a ridiculous team, just players who lack competition. We will regain our rhythm and try to do better. Today, we have missed a lot of opportunities, perhaps due to a lack of concentration or attention. But I believe we can have a great team. We just need six points to qualify, so there are still three matches left, » he has declared on Sunday at a post-match press conference.  Otis Ngoma has also acknowledged that some of the players who lined up against Kenya did not perform as expected, and adjustments are to be expected.  The Leopards will play their second match on Thursday August 7th against Zambia, with the aim of getting back into the race for qualification. However, the Congolese coach has tried to put things into perspective, with the match promising to see his team improve as the games go by, particularly with the integration of new players.CPA/ Mabzenza
