Kinshasa, November 6th, 2025 (CPA) – Motema Pembe and MK, two teams from Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), have been scheduled to play against each other on Sunday at the Martyrs stadium in Kinshasa, on the 5th day of group B of the National Football League championship. After 7 years in League 2, MK, who has made its return to DRC’s elite national championship, will be meeting up with another of the league’s big guns, having previously taken on Aigles du Congo (2-1), V.Club (0-2) and AC Rangers (1-3). In front of MK will be DC Motema Pembe, back on the pitch after their 1-1 draw with AS Maniema Union at the Tata Raphael stadium on Wednesday. A few days earlier, Les Immacules which have stumbled against New JAK FC (1-2), have bounced back with a 3-0 win over OC Bukavu Dawa of Sud-Kivu.
V.Club away to Kindu on Saturday against Dauphin Noir
AS V.Club of Kinshasa, the capital of DRC, will make its first trip away from its Kinshasa base on Saturday when it travels to Kindu, the chief town of Maniema province in central-eastern DRC, to host AS Dauphin Noir of Goma in Nord-Kivu in the eastern part of the country. This will be the first time the two sides have met, due to the Rwandan aggression in the two Kivu provinces. Nevertheless, AS Dauphin (7 points, three matches), who has made the chief town of Maniema province its home, has two wins to its name, over OC Renaissance du Congo (1-0) and OC Bukavu Dawa (2-1) respectively, as well as a draw with New JAK (1-1). Les Dauphins noirs de Kinshasa (10 points, 4 matches) have recorded three victories against Etoile du Kivu (3-0), MK (2-0), FC Renaissance du Congo (3-1) and a draw against AS Maniema Union (0-0). Nevertheless, it should not be forgotten that, from time to time, especially in their natural stronghold of Goma, AS Dauphin has often given AS V.Club a hard time.
