Kinshasa, February 17th, 2026 (CPA) – The victims of sexual violence recognised in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) have been registered on the consolidated single list (LUC) by the National Reparations Fund (Fonarev), according to the institution’s X account consulted on Tuesday by CPA.
‘Identifying the victims means to go through the full process of confirmation of their status. After the internal audit, the verification by an independent commission, the authentication by the Ministry in charge of Human Rights and the judicial homologation in the competent jurisdictions, the recognised victims are registered on the Consolidated Single List (LUC),’ it is read. According to the same source, this official registration marks a decisive step: ‘It paves the way towards assistance in the courts and tribunals for those who wish it, and then towards the reparations process,’ the source has concluded. It should be remembered that registering a victim on the LUC means transforming their story from words into recognition. CPA/
