Kasaï: three months’ back pay paid to civil servants in one territory

Tshikapa, October 22nd, 2026 (CPA).- Three months’ worth of six months’ salary arrears were paid on Thursday to civil servants and public officials from the territory of Dekese, who had travelled to Tshikapa, the provincial capital of Kasai (Central Democratic Republic of the Congo), the CPA reported.“For more than six months, we have been facing delays in the payment of our salaries.

Thanks to lobbying by our relevant authorities, an accountant from the bank came to pay three months’ worth of the six months’ arrears,” said Christophe Bampembe, a health sector worker.

“We are asking the relevant authorities to continue their efforts with the appropriate bodies so that we can receive the remaining three months’ wages before leaving the town of Tshikapa to return to our home posts,” he urged. ACP/
