Kinshasa, January 21st, 2025 (CPA).– A 15-year-old girl was charged on Wednesday with complicity in theft and criminal association before the Kinkole juvenile court in eastern Kinshasa, capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo, during a hearing. « It was a criminal conspiracy. On the night of December 27th, 2025 at 2 a.m., while my client was asleep, Jessica, her neighbor’s daughter, knocked insistently on the door. When she opened it, she saw Jessica and some unidentified young boys who entered her house and took her £500, her iPhone, all the wigs she sells, and they seriously injured her, » said Mr Kamamba Muti, lawyer for the victim Sarah Malenga (of legal age). The child in conflict with the law, 15-year-old Jessica Bondeke, responded as follows: ‘I knocked on her door at night because I was being threatened by criminals, and it was these criminals who brutalized her and stole her stories. I didn’t take anything.’ In his opinion, the public prosecutor asked the court to summon the father of the child in conflict with the law to appear. ‘Your court must summon the father of the child in conflict with the law because he has been named by the victim. He must tell us the reasons that led him to chase his child away from the plot,’ he said.
In agreement with the public prosecutor, the court decided to adjourn the case for one week to hear the father of the child in conflict with the law and continue the investigation. ACP/
