Kinshasa April 1st, 2025(CPA).-26 young women were trained free of charge in beading for their socio-economic reintegration by the Fondation grâce à ma mere (Foundation Thanks to my Mother) (GRAME) at the close of Women’s Month in Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), has learned CPA on Monday from the organisers. ‘Twenty-six young women from Kinkole to Nsele who have received free training in beadwork received their certificates at the end of the training and were given socio-economic reintegration kits during the ceremony organised by the Foundation,’ has declared Julie Nsuele, Coordinator and Manager of the Grâce à ma Mère (GRAME) Foundation. According to her, the foundation brought together the women of its structure for the closing of Women’s Month for a ceremony under the theme: « Congolese women at the centre of all ambitions”. During the ceremony, the participants have discussed themes linked to the development of self-image, mental health, unconscious depression and the ABCs of entrepreneurship. These issues have been addressed by Ms Odia Kabakele of the Federation of Congolese Businesses (FEC), Mr Alidor Muyaya, an NGO cordon, and Ms Julie Nsuele, head of the Gama foundation. Ms Odia Kabakele has explained that ‘sharing good practices’ in the field of entrepreneurship is about sharing tips for personal and professional development, with the aim of rising together. Mr Alidor Muyaya, for his part, has stressed the effects of depression, which can manifest itself at different times and for different reasons, including major losses, chronic stress, and imbalances in the brain’s neurotransmitters. “It is important to note that depression does not manifest itself in the same way in everyone and that its symptoms can vary according to the individual, his or her environment and life experiences. If you think you are experiencing signs of depression, it is important to consult a healthcare professional for appropriate treatment, » he has said. The GRAME Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation that supports and promotes the empowerment of Congolese women by building their professional capacities and creating income-generating activities.
