Kinshasa: a call for SMEs to engage with microfinance institutions

Kinshasa, August 9th, 2026 (CPA). – A call for Congolese small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to approach microfinance institutions to discover the funding opportunities available to project leaders has been launched on Sunday in Kinshasa (capital of the Democratic Republic of the Congo) by a female entrepreneur, on the side-lines of the 5th edition of Congolese Microfinance Week.  “The population sometimes think that microfinance is just for the rich, that it’s not available to everyone. On the contrary, it is for everyone, but above all for project leaders and Congolese SMEs,” has declared Yulia Bolebe, an entrepreneur and marketing manager at “Africa Cool Kalo” (ACK), a company specialising in domestic and industrial air conditioning. She has encouraged project leaders to approach these organisations so that they can receive financial support. ‘Approach these microfinance organisations to get support so that our people can escape unemployment,’ she has urged.ACP/
