Kinshasa, May 25th, 2026 (CPA).- Leadership was at the center of discussions on Monday during an awareness day organized for women of the “Feminine World” association, based in N’djili, eastern Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), with the aim of helping them positively influence their environment. “This activity aimed to help women discover their intrinsic value in a comprehensive manner, encourage them to express their abilities and gifts in order to influence their environment and serve others, while strengthening their capacities through conferences, forums, conventions, seminars, training sessions and security workshops,” said Charles Mafuta, coordinator of the “Feminine World” association. According to him, this awareness campaign comes at the right time, as women should not underestimate themselves since they bear fruits that are still dormant in certain areas. These potentials, he explained, need to be stimulated through this kind of activity.
On this occasion, he recalled the role of women as wives, mothers, servants and workers, referring to the Holy Scriptures.
“Women’s leadership should not be limited to the word of God, but must also be represented in politics, the economy, education, entrepreneurship, communication and social affairs,” added the coordinator of the “Feminine World” association.
He encouraged women to make an impact in all sectors and to break stereotypes imposed by certain traditional sayings, while preserving their integrity, as they possess the strengths to influence and move the world from one point to another.
“My wish is not for these women in the municipality in general and those of my organization in particular to remain limited to small neighborhood trade, but rather that they organize themselves more effectively in networks to create industries capable of transforming their environment,” Mr Mafuta stressed.
Call for guidance of adolescents in the digital age
Furthermore, coordinator Mafuta called on women to actively participate in guiding adolescents in the digital era. “Adolescents are exposed to multiple forms of manipulation in this digital age where information circulates at great speed. It is important for women to bring their maternal gift and guidance to children in this digital era, encouraging them to engage in sports and adopt healthy nutrition for good health, enabling them to invest in entrepreneurship and their own autonomy,” he said. This awareness day was marked by various presentations focused on sub-themes including: “Women’s leadership in politics”, “Women’s leadership in facing environmental challenges”, “Women’s leadership in finance”, “Women’s leadership in nutritional challenges”, as well as “Women at the center of current financial, material and economic concerns.” For the record, the meeting was organized by the “Feminine World” association under the general theme: “Women’s leadership in the face of contemporary challenges.” Created in 2020, the organization’s mission is to guide and train women and young girls in self-acceptance and acceptance of others, positive influence, and the promotion of discovery, development and well-being.
