Kinshasa, November 3rd, 2026 (CPA).- Novakin FC of Kinshasa, capital of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Céleste FC of Mbandaka, capital of Équateur Province in the south-west of the country, are scheduled to face each other on Wednesday at Tata Raphaël Stadium in Kinshasa, in a Group B match counting towards the fourth matchday of the 32nd National Football League (Linafoot) championship, according to the competition’s schedule consulted by CPA on Tuesday.According to the schedule, a copy of which was received by CPA on Tuesday, this match, the only Group B fixture scheduled for Wednesday, will kick off at 1:00 p.m. Kinshasa time.
Ahead of its fourth outing of the season, Céleste FC has recorded one victory, against Étoile du Congo (2-1), after being held to two draws against MK (1-1) and FC Renaissance du Congo (0-0), bringing its tally to five points. While Céleste has regained its confidence following that victory, Novakin has suffered a setback after being handed a 3-0 defeat by V.Club.
That heavy loss followed another defeat in the opening matchday, when Novakin lost 2-1 to Aigles du Congo.Unless Novakin gets back on track, Céleste FC could hand the Kinshasa side its third consecutive defeat at the start of the championship.
FC Renaissance-AF Ufaliya not scheduled for Wednesday According to the Group B schedule, FC Renaissance du Congo was due to take on AF Ufaliya Simba on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. at Tata Raphaël Stadium, as part of the fourth matchday. However, on Saturday, October 31st, while playing away in Kindu, FC Renaissance caused an upset by defeating Dauphin Noir 1-0. Consequently, travelling from Kindu, capital of Maniema Province, back to Kinshasa to face Ufaliya would be a real logistical challenge for the capital’s Orange, Green and White side.
For this reason, the Linafoot communications unit did not schedule a pre-match press conference on Tuesday for the coaches of FC Renaissance du Congo and AF Ufaliya. ACP/
