Kinshasa, June 23rd, 2025 (CPA).- The Management Committee of the National Football League (Linafoot) has announced the suspension of the result of the Don Bosco-Lupopo match on Saturday June 21st, which ended in a 1-1 draw, due to incidents that occurred during the match, CPA has learned on Monday from a press release. « The secretary of the National Football League informs the sporting public in general and the teams involved in the play-offs of the 30th edition of Ligue 1, the national championship, in particular that, following the incidents that have taken place on Saturday June 21st, 2025 during the CS Don Bosco-FC Saint Eloi Lupopo match at the Mazembe stadium, the result of this match is suspended pending review of the officials’ reports, » it is read. This document, dated Saturday June 21st and signed by Antoine Luzizila Mbala, deputy national secretary of Linafoot, has been issued on the same day as the match in which the incidents have taken place. It is in relation to these incidents in Lubumbashi and other cases in Kinshasa, at the Congo Football Cup, between the local club MK and OC Les Elites d’Inga, that the president of the Congolese Football Association (Fecofa), Dieudonne Sambi, who is in Miami, United States of America, on the sidelines of the Club World Cup, has instructed, in a related letter, that the technical body of national football and Linafoot should rule on these cases of violence in sports facilities in DRC.
