Kinshasa, August 6th, 2025 (CPA).- Responsible celebration after the publication of the 2025 State Examination results was recommended to the successful candidates at the CPA on Wednesday in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), to avoid excesses and misconduct.‘Dear graduates, celebrate with discernment (…). Academic success is the culmination of years of effort, discipline and perseverance. It deserves to be celebrated, but with respect for public order and safety,’ has said Noell Crépuscule Nzogu, social activist and editor of the online media outlet ‘Infos-Express.com’.
He deplored uncontrolled celebrations on public roads, including motorcades, loud music and obscene dancing, which can lead to moral depravity, accidents and disturbances to public order. ‘The family home remains the ideal setting for sharing this victory, in peace and gratitude,’ he has indicated, urging parents to offer their children a moment of healthy and safe joy.
He took the opportunity to congratulate the winners of the 2024-2025 school years and to praise the efforts of the government, particularly through the reforms initiated by the Minister of State, Minister of National Education, Raïssa Malu, which enabled the rapid publication of results in certain educational provinces, just three days after the exams.
This progress, he has stressed, is a decisive step towards modernising the education system, reducing the stress of waiting and facilitating administrative procedures for parents, both nationally and internationally. In the Democratic Republic of Congo, the proclamation of State Examination results often gives rise to spontaneous demonstrations in the streets. In recent years, several incidents, some of them serious, have been recorded, prompting local authorities to supervise or restrict these celebrations in order to preserve the safety of people and property.
