Supporters of dialogue conditioned on condemning Rwanda first

The Congolese Head of State also returned to the issue of national dialogue, which has been called for by several social groups in the country and which he remains in favor of. Nevertheless, he specifically called on opponents manipulated by the enemy to have the courage to condemn it openly first.

« Those who talk about dialogue and all that, who also present things in their own way by saying, “Look, we don’t want dialogue”. Yes, we don’t want that kind of dialogue. Yes, we don’t want that one. We want dialogue between Congolese people, who are all against this aggressor. The only thing I ask of these people who want dialogue is to first condemn the aggressor, to name him clearly and to condemn him, » insisted President Tshisekedi.  The Congolese Head of State also said he was « in favour of dialogue between Congolese people, but not the kind that has led in the past to mixing and blending, plunging the country into the situation it finds itself in today .«

‘Not the kind where subservient individuals, many of whom have dubious nationality, speak against the interests of the DRC,’ he said, ending his address by reiterating his oath never to betray the nation. ACP/
