Kinshasa, May 6th, 2026 (CPA).- The inauguration of the buildings of the provincial Human Rights divisions in Kenge in Kwango and Matadi in Kongo Central, two provinces in the south-west of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), has been announced by the sectorial ministry in a note consulted on Wednesday by CPA.
“Subsequently, Samuel Mbemba, Minister in charge of Human Rights, will pay a visit to the towns of Kenge and Matadi for the inaugurations of the administrative buildings, thereby providing the technical resources to the staff and officials of his ministry to enable them to give their best in the fight for the promotion and the protection of human rights,” it is read in the note from the said ministry.
The same source has announced that the Minister Mbemba is expected in Bunia, the provincial town of Ituri, indicating that previously, he had had to inaugurate the provincial human rights divisions in Mbuji-Mayi, in Eastern Kasai, and in Kananga, in Kasai Central, where he had reminded them of the commitment of the President of the Republic and the Prime Minister in favour of the promotion and the protection of human rights in the country. This allocation of provincial division buildings is intended to provide the staff of these entities with suitable working conditions for the promotion and protection of human rights in DRC, we have learnt.
