The price of a kilogram of Robusta coffee increases by 3.53%

Kinshasa, February 3rd, 2026 (CPA). – The price of a kilogram of Robusta coffee, an export product of the Democratic Republic of Congo, has experienced an increase 0f 3.53% internationally, trading at USD 4.1 on February 2nd, 2026, compared to USD 3.96 the previous week, according to the foreign trade market reports consulted on Tuesday by CPA.  ‘The price of a kilogram of Robusta coffee increases by 3.53% on international markets during the period from February 2nd to February 7th, 2026, trading at USD 4.10 during the week under review, compared to USD 3.96 the previous week,’ it is read.

The increase, decrease and stability in the prices of marketable mining, agricultural and forest products, the document has specified, are a result of supply and demand on international markets and the supply chain. It should be noted that coffee production in DRC, although in decline compared to the colonial era (90,000 tonnes in 1960), is reviving, reaching around 10,000 to 12,000 tonnes per year, centred in the east (Kivu) and Robusta in the north-west. This sector is supported by around 11,000 coffee producers across the country, who produce the two main varieties of coffee, namely Robusta and Arabica. Over the last three years, the country has produced between 45 and 50 million 60 kg bags of coffee. ACP/
