Training and employment on the agenda at open days organized in Kinshasa

Kinshasa, July 30th, 2025 (CPA).- Training and employment are on the agenda at the open days organized from Wednesday to Friday at the National Institute for Professional Preparation (INPP), alongside the activities marking the 61st anniversary of this public institution in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, the CPA has noted. « The primary objective of this open house organized by the INPP is to show the general public what we do and what training we offer. This is because the INPP is sometimes confused with traditional schools. Here, we do not provide traditional education, but we are professional trainers. We train young people who can be employed and are able to work immediately. We cannot talk about training without talking about employment, so it is to reconcile the two that we are here today with the ONEM officials, » has said Patrick Kayembe, Deputy Director General of the INPP. During the launching ceremony for this activity, the Deputy Director General of the INPP highlighted the unique nature of these open days, which focus not only on training and employment, but also on promoting the INPP’s services to the general public. He then recalled the origins of this public institution and he praised the contribution of the various partners who have helped strengthen the technical and professional skills of learners over the decades. ‘Strengthening technical and professional capacities is now at the heart of the debate on human capital development. It is in this context that the INPP is committed to responding to the needs of the State by facilitating the training of the working population with the support of technical and financial partners, whom we commend,’ has added Mr Kayembe. ‘The INPP is committed to the emergence of a middle class and to the qualification of the population in order to provide a skilled workforce. It currently has 43 training centers in various trades throughout DRC, and it is in this sense that it supports the government through structural projects,’ he has concluded. The National Institute for Professional Preparation (INPP) launched a series of activities on June 27th to celebrate its 61st anniversary. These activities, which focused on the internationalization of this public institution in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, lasted for a month.
