Kinshasa, September 15th, 2021 (CPA).- The singer Ghandy Djuna known under the name of “Gim’s”, received Sunday the prize for the best Congolese musician artist of the diaspora 2020, organized by the “Lokumu art” Trophy, during of a ceremony, organized in Kinshasa.
Absent from Kinshasa, Gim’s delegated his biological brother, David Djuna alias « Dadju » to receive this prize which, according to the organizing committee, was awarded to him for his many services in Europe which are the pride of the DRC, his country. “Sometimes we feel like we are being forgotten beyond words and music. Seeing this award for an artist like Gim’s for what he does for the musical world, I can only applaud. It comforts me. Once again, the Congolese have just demonstrated through this trophy. And our love for the Congo is stronger and remains intact, ”Dadju said. Formerly called Me Gim’s, this internationally renowned artist is soon planning a trip to Kinshasa as part of his next African tour, we learn. ACP/
