FEC seeks state support for SME from Eustache Muhanzi

Kinshasa, May 12th 2020 (CPA).– The chairman of the commission of the Federation of Congo Enterprises (FEC), Fely Samuna, requested on Tuesday during an exchange of views in Kinshasa, the support of the Congolese state to small and medium enterprises to the Minister of State in charge of Entrepreneurship, Small and Medium Enterprises, Eustache Muhanzi Mubembe, CPA learned on Wednesday from a Congolese employer source.

On the occasion, the chairman of FEC commission enumerated the various axes which require the support of the Congolese State namely, the installation and the inking of the harmful and unfair competition often observed between small and Congolese and foreign medium-sized enterprises; the increasingly growing and uncontrolled informal sector in the sector as well as the non-application of the start-up bill.

Attentive to the desires of Congolese employers, Minister Muhanzi reassured his hosts of his determination to make effective the law setting the rules applicable to subcontracting in the private sector, in order to promote local initiative and also to set up a framework legal and regulatory on entrepreneurship, crafts and startups.

The Ministry in charge of SME and FEC are convinced that a frank and permanent collaboration is the necessary way for the emergence and development of small and medium-sized enterprises, the main providers of jobs in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). ACP/Tange/GM
