Prime Minister’s office: The budget execution rate stands at 64.1% in the first quarter of 2021

Kinshasa, April 21nd, 2021 (CPA).- The Prime Minister’s services post a budget execution rate of 64.1% in the first quarter of 2021, indicates the budget monitoring report of the general directorate of budget policies and programming, of which CPA received a copy on Wednesday.

The report indicates that the expenditure was carried out to the tune of 12.6 billion Congolese francs, or an amount equivalent to 6.1 million US dollars, against the budget forecasts of 13.2 billion Congolese francs or 9.5 million in the first quarter of 2021. This represents a budget execution rate of 64.1%.

According to the same source, staff salaries represented 8 billion 6 million Congolese francs, or 4.2 million US dollars and 3 billion 9 million Congolese francs, or 1.9 million US dollars, for the operation.

As a reminder, the Finance Law for 2021 fiscal year provides for annual expenditure of around FC 78,000,000,000 billion, or USD 38.1 million for the operation of the Prime Minister. ACP/
