Kinshasa, June 12th, 2021 (CPA).- The rapporteur of the National Human Rights Commission (CNDH) and facilitator of the Pan-African Conference on Gender Equality in Africa 2021-2030, Me Belinda Luntadila Kisolokele, affirmed , Friday, that these meetings constitute a strong action of great contributions in the effort of an egalitarian generation, during an interview with the CPA.
According to Lawyer Luntadila, this conference organized on Thursday in Kinshasa brings a stone to the building and paves the way for others in this process relating to gender equality in Africa, specifying that in this perspective, the Republic Démocratique du Congo has seen a lot of progress, especially in the composition of the government, where women are represented at more than 18%.
She underlined that the declarations resulting from this pan-African conference will be submitted to the “Generation Equality Forum” which will be held from June 30 to July 2, in Paris, France.
The conference on gender equality in Africa 2021-2030 was held under the high patronage of the President of the Republic, Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, who, by videoconference, argued that the DRC could play an important role at the level of the continent to put people and women at the heart of the actions of the African Union.
