Kinshasa, April 13th, 2021 (CPA) .- The new Minister of Fisheries and Livestock, Adrien Bokele has promised to revive the fishing and livestock sectors, during an interview he gave to the local press, to the ‘resulting from the publication on Monday of the list of members of the government by the spokesperson of the President of the Republic, Tharcisse Kasonga Mwema Yamba Yamba, on the antennas of the Congolese National Radio and Television.
The Minister of Fisheries and Livestock Adrien Bokele said that the revival of these sectors in the DRC requires the establishment of a framework for deep reflection on the best policies for their development. It is, he argues, to support private and public initiative, in order to generate productivity across the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The promotion of the existing legal framework in the fishing sector in Congolese waters will be a workhorse for him during his tenure at the head of this ministry. « My appointment today allows me to reflect on the challenges to be taken up and the means to be implemented for the development of fishing and breeding in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) », he declared.
