Kinshasa, June 25th, 2021 (CPA)The national coordinator of the Green Generation, Jonathan Boatsi, announced, Thursday, during an interview with the CPA, the organization next month in the municipality of limete, a training on the cultivation of mushrooms.
This three-day training aims to help young organizations that have ambitions but lack funding because they are young and unknown and to create an empowerment mechanism that will allow them to implement their vision without having a financial partner.
To this end, the coordinator revealed five reasons for the participation of young organizations in these meetings, indicating that it is a lucrative activity which means that the demand is greater than the supply, the first harvest is done after four weeks, no need for a lot of capital to get started, cultivation is done in all seasons and finally the purchase of the first harvest by the organization to propel them into the business world.
He maintained that: « participating in this training allows the mastery of the art of mushroom cultivation which makes it possible to wrest the financial autonomy so much dreamed of by organizations », he said in substance.
Mr. Boatsi recalled that his organization’s vision is to replace the anti-green generation with a green generation in order to protect and conserve the environment and to establish sustainable development in the world in general and in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in particular. . This vision consists of making all partners aware of the relevance of the use of the scientific and activist approach in order to achieve a viable environment, to initiate green clubs in academic and school environments to make all students green, by organizing conferences, workshops and continuous training sessions on various themes related to the problems of environmental degradation and poverty in the DRC. It is also about contributing to the development and influence of the organization at the national and international level and promoting the creation of different « networks » of the association by geographic region and sector of activity.
The coordinator suggested that it is to create jobs for oneself and for others that justifies this training which is a contribution to the sustainable development of Africa and the DRC. The Green Generation (GV), was created on June 20, 2018 and acts in the environment and sustainable development sector, it should be remembered. ACP/
