Women’s structures scrutinize the 100 days of government Sama Lukonde

Kinshasa, August 7th, 2021 (CPA).- Women’s structures have spoken out on the 100 days of the Sama Lukonde government and have proposed avenues for the continuation of the mandate of the National Executive, through a memo, a copy of which was given to the CPA on Friday. It emerges from this document that key sectors, such as education, the social conditions of the Congolese as well as the circulation of currency, are among the concerns of these organizations. The NGO «  Femme Plus  », through its coordinator Evelyne Molo, indicated that in three months, the social did not reach the expected level, before raising the frequency of strike movements in sensitive sectors such as as health and transportation. Marthe Lunko, student in a higher institute of the city and social actor, for her part, evoked the challenges which oppose the implementation of the promise to ban the sale of the syllabuses, proposing to the government to improve study and working conditions in university settings. For her part, Honorine Mundele of the NGO « Nothing Without Women » urged the government to devise new strategies to strengthen the economic system. Because the Congolese have always struggled to find the means to meet the needs of their homes. she continued, stressing that reducing the unemployment rate by creating jobs, increasing the salaries of civil servants and dropping staples must be priorities of the Sama Lukonde government.
