Kinshasa, July 10th, 2021 (CPA).- The Deputy Prime Minister in charge of the Civil Service, modernization of the administration and innovation of the public service, Jean-Pierre Lihau Ebwa Kalokola reaffirmed his commitment to continue and complete the reforms of the public administration during a working session, which he had on Thursday, in his study, with a delegation from the World Bank led by the coordinator of this international financial institution in the DRC, Ms. Guillemette Jaffrin.
Deputy Prime Minister Lihau, who evaluated with his hosts the reform of the public administration, presented his vision of the priorities of the reform whose objective, for him, is the control of the workforce and the wage bill, the rejuvenation and the honorable retirement of state agents who have rendered loyal services to the country.
The renewal of the Public Administration Reform and Rejuvenation Project (PRRAP) with a view to completing the reforms initiated was also on the menu of their discussions.
The reform of public administration, it is said, is one of the big issues on the table of the government of the Sacred Union of the Nation. Undertaken for nearly twenty years, the reform of public administration has stumbled over several challenges. ACP/
