Kinshasa, May 31st, 2021 (CPA).- The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development, Eve Bazaiba Masudi, gathered, on Saturday, in her office in Gombe, the women leaders of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, with a view to discussing strategies relating to the assistance to be brought to the populations victims of the disaster caused by the eruption of the Nyiragongo volcano in Goma and its surroundings.
The spokesperson for the delegation of these women, Claudia Luntadila, who provided an update after the meeting, said that fundraising for the victims of the eruption of the volcano has already started.
“Now, we want to work in synergy with government ministries led by women who can help us channel the collected aid to the beneficiaries. These are the Ministries of Gender, Family and Children, the Ministry of Justice and Keeper of the Seals and the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development, said Ms. Lutandila, ”she explained.
Ms. Claudia Luntadila said that the women leaders are planning other working sessions to complete the project to help victims of the tragedy caused by this volcanic eruption.
