Kinshasa, August 7th, 2021 (CPA).- Naomie, a 6-year-old girl who suffered serious burns in an accident in Kinshasa and Abigaël whose arm was twisted during a demonstration against insecurity in Beni in North Kivu have recovered their smiles thanks to the favors of the First Lady Denise Nyakeru in health care.
According to a press release from the Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi Foundation (FDNT) received Friday at the CPA, the First Lady received Thursday in Kinshasa in turn in her office that came to thank her for the benefit they have benefited from His part.
As a reminder that Naomie’s life had completely changed, a few years ago when, following an unfortunate domestic accident, she found herself burned to the 3rd degree in the chest, left shoulder, neck and especially on the left side of his face.
As a result of these burns, her neck and left shoulder were now stuck by the skin, causing severe disability for her.
It was during a visit to Camp Tshatshi, on the occasion of the Christmas holidays 2019, that First Lady Denise Nyakeru, as he returned the children of the soldiers, that she will meet little Naomie.
Touched and moved, the First Lady of the DRC had asked her Foundation to take charge of the case of this little girl.
Thus, through a joint work of the partners of the FDNT and her medical consultants, Naomie was able to be evacuated abroad this year, where she left with her father and the doctors of the FDNT to be taken care of by a team specializing in plastic repair or plastic surgery. Naomie was operated on successfully, the delicate surgery to separate her neck and shoulder was successful, subsequently a skin graft was performed on her.

A brief history about Abigaël
