The Minister of Public Health reiterates the alert on the rise in cases of COVID-19 contamination in the DRC

Kinshasa, June 6th, 2021 (CPA).- The Minister in charge of Public Health, Hygiene and Prevention, Jean-Jacques Mbungani reiterated the alert on the worrying rise in cases of COVID-19 contamination in the DRC, at the end of a working meeting that he had on Friday, at the Prime Minister’s Office with the Prime Minister, Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde and in which Professor Ahuka from the National Institute of Biomedical Research (INRB) took part.

« We came to meet the Prime Minister to follow, with him, the evolution of the epidemiological situation of the pandemic in our country », he declared, before adding that they also examined the preventive measures. facing the 3rd wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in the DRC.

While indicating that the government will take more coercive measures to save lives in the event that the number of sick cases continues to increase, the Minister of Public Health, Jean Jacques Mbungani, urged the Congolese to respect the distancing social and barrier gestures, to wear masks correctly, to wash your hands regularly with soap or alcoholic gel and to respect the curfew.
