The President of the Republic Felix Tshisekedi inaugurates the provincial headquarters of BCC in Kolwezi

Kinshasa, May 15th, 2021 (CPA) – The President of the Republic, Felix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, on Thursday inaugurated in Kolwezi, capital of Lualaba province, the new provincial headquarters of the Central Bank of Congo (BCC ), shortly before returning to the capital Kinshasa in the evening.

According to a source close to the Presidency, this branch, which was built on BCC’s own funds, consists of three buildings erected over an area of ​​500 m².

The Head of State Felix Tshisekedi cut the symbolic ribbon in the presence of Prime Minister Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde, the temporary governor of Lualaba, Fifi Masuka, and the governor of the Central Bank of Congo, Deogratias Mutombo Muana Nyembo, indicates the source.

President Felix Tshisekedi appreciated the quality of the work carried out in just two years, after having toured the various compartments of this building.

Lualaba province, which previously depended on the neighboring province of Haut-Katanga, is now autonomous for all banking operations with the Bank of Banks.

At the end of a lightning half-day visit to Kolwezi in Lualaba province, the President of the Republic Felix Tshisekedi returned to Kinshasa at the end of the ceremony of the inauguration of BCC building in addition to his address to the population at Place Mwangeji, in Kolwezi. ACP /
