Kinshasa, September 24th, 2021 (CPA) – The Minister in charge of Primary, Secondary and Technical Education (EPST), Prof. Tony Mwaba Kazadi wished, on Wednesday at the opening of the meeting for 2021 school year in Kinshasa, that 2021 national school year be transforms into a center of reflection and questioning of the major problems of its sector, in particular free education. These meetings were placed under the theme: « rigor and excellence for the recovery of education in the DRC ». The Minister in charge of EPST, on this occasion, noted that the school promotion is now transformed into an annual performance review by the ministerial decree of 2017 on the organization and operation of the educational promotion foundation. The temporary general secretary at EPST, Christine Nepa-Nepa Kabala, for her partbrossed the history of these meetings which began in 2011, and which experienced two years of interruption imposed by the Coronavirus pandemic. More than 300 participants are taking part in this school promotion marked by the issue of the effective implementation of free primary education in DRC, in particular the examination of the significant advances made as well as the analysis of the various constraints likely to affect them. ‘negatively impact this reform, it is recalled.
