At 3:30 p.m., the first opposition will pit two former winners of the competition against each other. In the number of achievements in this circuit, Daring accumulates several against only two in MK. Both opponents were members of the National Football League (LINAFOOT). Currently, the Immaculate are a kind of soft underbelly of Ligue 1, while the men of President Max Mokey Nzangi occupy the 2nd position in the classification of Ligue 2.

The two clubs have in common the fact that they are each keen to avoid a blank year and swear by the coronation in this edition of the Congo Cup with a view to finding the next Confederation Cup. Everyone will try to get out of the game especially since the meetings are played in direct elimination, which spices up the issue.

A dispute between the two

The two teams met in 2014 in the Congo Cup qualifiers, at the Père Raphaël de la Kethulle stadium. MK, under coach Bruno Bla, had, on a brace from Dark Kabangu Kadima, eliminated DC Motema Pembe with a 2-1 victory. Motema Pembe’s then executioner will face his former team this time around. The elimination of the Greens and Whites was one of the reasons which had accentuated the crisis which led to the split of the club to give birth to FC Renaissance du Congo.

This is why Motema Pembe will not accept a second affront from MK, who, for his part, wants to sell his skin dearly.

Respective paths

Motema Pembe qualified to the detriment of Renaissance du Congo, dominated by a score of 1-0, thanks to a goal from William Likuta Lwezi (77th). MK, who will be in his first match in this competition, was exempted after the draw for the 56th Congo Cup.

Rangers-Céleste, face-to-face between two strangers

Previously, the first meeting will pit Céleste de Mbandaka against AC Rangers in Kinshasa. The latter had escaped through the eye of the needle in front of Kungu Pemba of the city of Bandundu, beaten by 1-0, on a realization of Nsimba Ngembo (69th).

A Ligue 2 team, Céleste, for his part, had ejected AS Ndombe from Bandundu. Even though Despite the status of the two opponents, nothing can determine in advance the winner of this explanation. ACP/
